Kilimanjaro Trek — Machame Route

The Machame Route — the "Whiskey Route" — is the most scenic way to Uhuru Peak, and its climb-high-sleep-low profile gives you a real chance at the summit.

Seven days take you from rainforest through the Shira Plateau, past the Lava Tower at 4,600 m and up the Barranco Wall, before the midnight push to the roof of Africa. You descend through moorland to Mweka on the final day.

Your crew is fully certified: a lead guide and assistant guides, a cook and porters, with mountain tents, oxygen and a pulse oximeter carried throughout. Park fees, camping fees and rescue fees are all included.
